EKHP Consulting is seeking candidates for a Data Warehouse Architect – ETL.

Position is for at least 1 year. Pay rate is up to $76 ph W2 or $83 ph C2C depending on experience.

I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

As a Sr. ETL Architect, the Worker must be innovative and creative in solving complex solutions. The Worker must have a strong background in developing comprehensive automated processes to extract data from disparate source systems, transform data as per business requirements, and load data into a data warehouse and various presentation models.

As a Sr. ETL architect, the Worker will be responsible for:

· analyzing evolving sources of data, determining and implementing extraction methodologies

· loading operational data models and data marts and re-architecting and standardizing existing ETL processes

· working with users and business analyst to ensure that the correct data is being sourced into the Enterprise Data Warehouse and the sourced data is in conformance with data governance guidelines

· developing processes and procedures in support of a large enterprise BI/DW environment

· working with Business Customers, Section Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in a professional and collaborative manner to define strategies and implementation approaches

· following software development processes, preparing detailed documentation and generating work estimates in an SDLC environment.

As a Sr. ETL Architect, the Worker must be quality conscious and be dedicated to delivering quality products on time and on budget.

Onsite Requirements: Worker will be required to work on site with the team. Working remotely will be limited and must be pre-approved by the Project Manager and Direct Supervisor.

WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

· Must possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Must be able to work independently in a team environment with local and remote teams

· Must possess knowledge of project management methodologies both traditional and Agile/Scrum

· Must possess problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task with readiness to put in extra efforts when necessary

· Must perform related work as assigned

II. WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements (minimum requirements are a must):

7 years Extensive experience in architecting ETL Solutions, automation, and best practices

7 years Expertise in source data analysis, defining data granularity, data element mapping, and data warehouse design.

7 years Hands-on experience with data conversion, performance tuning, and managing conceptual and physical data models.

7 years Extensive knowledge of/experience with data integration, data quality, multi-dimensional design and ETL tools, processes and methodology

6 years Experience with IBM Infosphere DataStage v8.x and above

6 years Experience with IBM Infosphere Warehouse

6 years Extensive experience with languages SQL and PL/SQL

6 years Experience working with data bases B2 LUW & zOS, Oracle 12c, MSSQL Server, Teradata

6 years Knowledge and experience with both DW and BI security architecture, especially involving disparate platforms preferably Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and Active Directory (AD)

4 years Experience working with metadata driven auto generated code performing full ETL life cycle

4 years Experience with implementing security and privacy requirements in a large enterprise environment

4 years Experience preparing all required artifacts accurately and in a timely fashion for the project

3 years Experience with UNIX scripting

2 years Experience with Socrata and Datasync file management process

1years Knowledge of project management methodologies both traditional and Agile/Scrum

Preferences:

3 years Proficient with the Microsoft Windows and Office products

3 years Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government)

2 years Experience working with CPA IT and business customers

III. TERM OF SERVICE

This is currently a 12-month assignment part time assignment:

Estimated FY18: 1920 hours Period of Service: 09/01/17 – 08/31/18.

This assignment may be extended based on need and funding. (# of hours may change based on negotiated hourly rate).

This request includes the option for CPA to renew this assignment for the following terms:

FY19 9/1/18-8/31/19, FY20 9/1/19-8/31/20 and FY21 9/1/20 to 8/31/21

Note: Working overtime maybe expected in order to meet tight deadlines

This assignment may be extended based on need and funding. (# of hours may change based on negotiated hourly rate). This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing CPA and Vendor agree in writing to do so.

IV. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION

A. Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the CPA. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed. 40 hours per week or more. Candidate may have to work evening or weekends in order to meet business needs or deadlines.

B. The primary Work location will be at 111 E. 17th Street, Austin, Texas 78774. Other locations may be used or may be office in another Austin location.
